ABOUT MCA
WHAT IS MCA ENTRANCE:
The Maharashtra MCA Common Entrance Test (MAH MCA CET) is an entrance exam for admission to MCA programs at various government and private colleges in Maharashtra. Conducted annually by the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Cell, the exam is an online Computer-Based Test. Candidates aspiring to join MCA courses in Maharashtra must pass this entrance exam.

ELIGIBILITY:
| Educational Qualification: | Bachelor’s Degree (min 3 years) in any discipline from a UGC / AICTE approved university or institution. Final year graduation students can apply |
| Nationality: | Candidates must be Indian Nationals. |
| Minimum Marks Requirement: | Candidates must have secured at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories, EWS, and PwD categories from Maharashtra state). |
| Subjects Prerequisites: | Candidates must have studied Mathematics at the 12th level or during their graduation. Maths is compulsory: Studied at Class 12 (HSC) level OR Studied at Graduation level Without Mathematics, you are NOT eligible for MCA CET. |
Additional Notes:
- Grades/CGPA Conversion: If grades/CGPA are awarded instead of marks, the conversion to percentage will be based on the procedure certified by the university/institution from which the bachelor’s degree was obtained.
- Rounding Off: The percentage of marks will be rounded off to two decimal places.
- Caste Validity: Candidates from SC, VJ/DT (NT (A)), NT (B), NT(C), NT (D), OBC, and SBC categories must provide a “Caste Validity Certificate” issued by the Social Welfare Department’s Scrutiny Committee. ST category candidates must submit a “Tribe Validity Certificate” issued by the Tribal Department’s Scrutiny Committee. Additionally, a valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate is required for all except SC and ST candidates at the time of document verification.
MCA CET Exam Pattern:

| Marking Scheme: | Candidates will receive +2 marks for each correct answer. |
REGISTRATION DATE:
The MAH MCA CET 2027 exam registration will begin in the 4th week of December 2026 and ends in the last week of February 2027, with the exam scheduled for the last week of March or first week of April 2027.

REGISTRATION FEES:
The registration fee is ₹1200 for Open Category, Outside Maharashtra State, and J & K Migrant candidates, and ₹1000 for Reserved Categories, EWS, PwD, Orphan, and Transgender candidates from Maharashtra.

Note –
- Candidates will be required to submit the Caste Certificate, Caste Validity Certificate and Non Creamy Layer Certificate (Valid up to 31/03/2027) if applicable at the time of filling CAP Application form to be considered under category.
- Candidates will be required to submit Economically Weaker Section Certificate if applicable at the time of filling CAP Application form.
- Candidates will be required to submit Persons with Disability (PWD) Certificate if applicable at the time of filling CAP Application form
MCA CET 2027 Registration Process
The application form is available exclusively online at www.cetcell.mahacet.org
To apply, candidates should follow these steps:
- Open the MAH MCA CET website.
- Click on the ‘apply now’ tab and register as a new user.
- Enter your name, email ID, and other requested contact details to register.
- Upon successful registration, you will receive a registration number and password via email and SMS.
- Save the registration number and password for future reference.
- After registration, fill out the detailed application form.
- Upload a recent passport-size photo and a scanned copy of your signature.
- Pay the application fee after uploading the required images.
- Preview the information filled in the form before clicking the ‘save’ button. If you need to make any changes, click on ‘edit’ and update the information.
- Candidates must be careful while filling the application form as there will be no correction facility provided to make changes.
- Download and print your completed application form. Keep it safe until the admission process is finished.
